About the Treasurer

I am so excited to become more involved in KACADA and to network and promote the sharing of best practices with other advising professionals across the state. As KACADA Treasurer, I look forward to helping to increase our membership and better communicate and collaborate across offices and institutions. I believe advisors have a responsibility to empower students to develop the skills necessary to evaluate their own strengths, engage in critical thinking, take initiative, problem-solve, make good decisions, and ultimately to take responsibility for their education.
I am currently an academic advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky, where I work primary with biology majors. Prior to coming to UK, I served for three years as the Coordinator of the LINK First Year Experience program at the University of Central Florida. I am originally from Cincinnati, and earned my B.S. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and my M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Maryland. I look forward to serving KACADA, and in collaboration with the other officers, serving to strengthen the student affairs profession and the state of Kentucky.
